Galactoid’s Tetris Guides and Research

Above: From my actual Tetris gameplay in 2024. Note the clean setups, high gravity, and near-zero T-piece wastage in the stack. All were created at 100 to 110 pieces per minute despite Tetris 99’s slowness versus TEC.

My Tetris 99 Stats (11 May 2024) with a T-spin per line cleared ratio of 0.2 to 0.25 and half a million T-spins done.

Okay, this is quite serious. I’m starting to get ill from working so extensively on the two Tetris guidebooks largely alone for 20+ months. Published https://galactoidtetris.wordpress.com/2024/05/11/the-stresses-of-writing-the-two-tetris-books/

I want to make a guide on that T-spin puzzle site (https://swng.github.io/twowide/), where I solved 50 questions within a few days, including 35 on my first attempt. I’ve solved and compiled my answers to at least 250 questions, but I am too lazy to make it, as it takes so much work.

Published 4 new chapters on this website. They were intentionally excluded content from my 2 Tetris guidebooks (Yes, I’ve decided to break the book into 2 smaller books), per my editor’s developmental evaluation:

I created a new page on Advanced Parity management: https://galactoidtetris.wordpress.com/2023/12/19/advanced-parity-concepts/

Introduction

Hi! I’m Galactoid. I stream on Twitch as Ei_lara (not a female name! It means “threads of oneness” from a four-dimensional language I invented). This website contains all of my researched Tetris methods. They involve methods that are of an extremely high-level, and are not seen on any guide on the internet. I combine memes and jokes with my Tetris guides to make reading more entertaining and hilarious.

This website will evolve novices into experts:

The goal of this website is to find a solution to the incoming Tetris doomsday that may arrive very soon:

So far, my research has yet to find the precise height of the Tetris singularity. But if it is low enough, it would mean that the endgame of Tetris is meaninglessness. However, if it can be deferred or extended in height sufficiently such that not even the most capable person can learn all Tetris methods in his or her lifetime, then the catastrophe will be prevented.

This section contains some personal details and compilations of newly researched methods.

Beginner Methods

A good foundation in stacking, downstacking, parity management, and the avoidance of common beginner errors is needed at all times, before one can proceed to more advanced skills. It also begins with the learning of openers.

Intermediate Methods

These are the core methods that every serious Tetris player must learn to get used to the mid-game. However, they should only be approached until one has mastered the basics of good stacking and downstacking.

Advanced Methods

These methods require a very nuanced understanding of the subtleties of Tetris. They should not be approached until one has a lot of experience and has good foundations in the basic to intermediate skills. Some of the methods here are so advanced, that I estimate that only one in hundreds of thousands of Tetris players will ever learn.

My T-Spin Feats Compilations (New 2024+ Ones)

This new section will feature my new T-spin feats, tutorials, demonstrations, videos, and clips from 2024 onwards. I’ve improved vastly ever since I updated this section in 2020.

My T-Spin Feats Compilations (Old 2020 Ones)

(Outdated – after another 3 years of Tetris experience, I consider everything below obsolete)

These are in chronological order. So part 1 is the earliest from Feb 2020, while part 15 is around Oct 2020. You can see the progression of my T-spin skill.

Troll Posts

These are troll posts, which are just for fun, but are still related to Tetris.
